Expat Mummy

From a child raised in the Midwest in suburbia USA to a 40 something working mom and wife and expatriate in Asia, I have had the opportunity to live many different lives over the past decades. Each phase has it benefits and drawbacks, but in the end, all of the collective experiences have created a patchwork of a wonderful and crazy life beyond any expectation I had when I was my daughter’s age.

Through this blog, I hope to shine a light on living a diverse life (while creating a sense of normality) and creating unique experiences for myself and my family while keeping my family grounded as citizens of the world who respect others, contribute to the greater good of humanity, and live life to the fullest.

The topics on this blog will be diverse –  travel experiences; how to survive the trials and tribulations of expat life; being a working mum; and general other musings both of the unique and mundane.

Join my little family’s quest to live life to the fullest; somehow find happiness in this turbulent world while creating tranquility at home, building productive careers, and raising an independent daughter who can overcome the hurdles of life while being compassionate, ambitious and worldly.

Living, working, and travelling abroad while raising bright and worldly children without going insane.
